Cutting Ribbons for Your Crackers - Our Top Tip

Have you ever selected a beautiful ribbon and then when cutting it, ended up with snags and fraying where you have cut?

When cutting ribbons for your crackers, particularly thicker satin or grosgrain ribbons, you will need a good sharp pair of scissors to get a perfect fray-free cut.

We recommend scissors with a sharp blade such as dressmaking scissors or kitchen scissors. General crafting scissors will also give a good cut but, as many are intended for use with paper crafting, you may not get the clean cut you're after.
